PTS clinches deal with PanGlobal Insurance

PAC Total Solutions Sdn Bhd (PTS), a 19% associated company of Heitech Padu Bhd, has clinched a deal to supply its Repair Tracker software to one of the country's major insurance players PanGlobal Insurance Bhd (PGI).

In a statement on Jan 17, PTS managing director Steve Miller said the software allowed bodyshop managers to operate in a more efficient and cost effective manner. He said PGI would be able to provide an actual completion date to its customers as value-added customer service.

Under the terms of the agreement, repairers who sign up will be offered BodyNet system, a bodyshop management system that produces estimates, automatic job cards and invoices.

PTS said Repair Tracker measured cycle time, or the time taken to complete a job via BodyNet. Vehicle owners can keep track of the repair process online and in real time, and be aware of exactly when their cars will be ready for collection.

"PGI is the first general insurance company in Malaysia to implement this online motor repair tracking system to its panel of more than 300 motor vehicle repairers.

"In addition to the SMS car insurance price checking, online purchase of car insurance and interactive lifestyle rewards portals, Repair Tracker augments our strategy of providing value-added services to all policyholders by adopting cutting edge technology," said PGI chief executive officer Edwin Wong.

PTS introduced the country's first electronic motor vehicle repair claims solution in 1998. PTS' partner Bodynet UK Ltd has launched Repair Tracker in the United Kingdom.
